ees Europe 2026: the new edition dedicated to batteries, storage, and green hydrogen in Munich
From 23 to 25 June 2026, ees Europe, one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for batteries, energy storage systems, and renewable energy technologies, will return to Munich. The event will take place at Messe München, within The smarter E Europe, the large trade fair platform that also brings together Intersolar Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe.
The next edition confirms its role as a strategic event for companies, installers, system integrators, manufacturers, distributors, utilities, designers, and investors interested in the evolution of the energy sector. The event’s motto, “Innovating Energy Storage,” well sums up the heart of the event: presenting innovative solutions to make storage increasingly efficient, scalable, and integrated with photovoltaics, electric mobility, smart grids, and industry.
According to data published by the organizers, ees Europe 2026 expects around 770 exhibitors dedicated to the ees Europe fair, within a broader context that is expected to reach 2,800 exhibitors overall for The smarter E Europe. The exhibition area dedicated to ees Europe will be approximately 54,000 m2, while the entire event will occupy approximately 200,000 m2 and aims to welcome over 100,000 visitors.
The central themes of the 2026 edition will include storage technologies, lithium batteries, redox flow batteries, battery recycling and second life, stationary systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility scale use, as well as components such as BMS, power electronics, cooling systems, testing, and safety. Ample space will also be dedicated to hydrogen and power-to-gas, with a focus on fuel cells, electrolyzers, infrastructure, and production and storage solutions.
In addition to the trade fair, the ees Europe Conference will also be held on 22 and 23 June 2026 at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München. The program will focus on the main technological and market trends in energy storage, with panels, networking opportunities, and presentations aimed specifically at managers, decision makers, EPCs, project developers, energy companies, consultants, investors, and research and development professionals.
The strength of ees Europe also lies in its position within The smarter E Europe, which brings together four increasingly interconnected sectors: solar energy, storage, electric mobility and intelligent energy management. The platform’s stated goal is to accelerate integrated energy solutions, with a focus on renewables, decentralization, digitalization, and 24/7 sustainable energy supply.
For industry professionals, ees Europe 2026 is much more than just an exhibition: it is an international observatory on the technologies that will drive the energy transition in the coming years. Higher-performance batteries, storage systems for businesses and networks, integration with photovoltaics and e-mobility, green hydrogen, and new digital solutions will be the focus of an event designed to create connections, professional development, and new business opportunities.
