Webinar - Gas-Free Homes Kyoto Club

Gas-Free Homes: The Electric Transition to Decarbonize the Residential Sector

21 April 2026

The second webinar of the “For a Leap in Class” project will be held online on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Decarbonizing the residential sector currently represents one of the most significant challenges of the energy transition. In Italy, home heating is still heavily dependent on gas: moving beyond this model means reducing emissions, improving the energy efficiency of buildings, and building a more sustainable, resilient system that is less exposed to energy price fluctuations.

The webinar will explore the role of electrifying consumption—starting with heat pumps—and integrating it with renewable sources, analyzing existing technological solutions, case studies, and opportunities for citizens, businesses, and governments.

Speakers include Gabriele Di Prenda (Daikin Air Conditioning Italy), Silvia Biandrate (Edera Impresa Sociale), and Nicola De Angelis (Dea Solar Consulting). Coordinator: Giacomo Pellini, Kyoto Club.

Participation is free, but registration is required. The link to watch the webinar will be sent to registered participants.
